Kirill Doron Bio
Kirill Doron was born in Moscow, Russia and studied at the Art Institute of Moscow where he later became a professor of Art. In 1982 he immigrated to the US and began his painting career. Kirill was first known as a landscape artist before concentrating on still life painting.
Mr. Doron has won numerous awards, including many Gold Medals from: The Wadsworth Atheneum Hartford Museum, the Pastel Society of America, the Knickerbocker Artists Society in NYC, The Paint and Clay Club, and the Silvermine and Ridgefield Guilds in CT.
Kirill Doron’s paintings are widely collected and have been reviewed in the NY Times and exhibited in prestigious shows nationally. He currently teaches at the Silvermine Guild in Connecticut.
Mr. Doron says:
‘’I am obsessed with light. Life for me is light, from the very beginning. Sometimes a painting represents the end of day, but it’s usually a road to light.”
